Samsung has unveiled their first waterproof camera, the W200 Pocket Cam designed to be used anywhere to capture brilliant video in the toughest conditions, particularly underwater. It features 5-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor with F2.2 lens, 2.3-inch 230K clear pixel LCD screen, and a rugged body that is shock, water and dust-proof.
The W200 claims to capture underwater video easily with as it is waterproof up to three meters, making it suitable for great video of a relaxed day by the pool or up-close shots of coral reefs. The W200 also has an anti-water drop coating that allows the LCD screen to remain free from condensation. The lens also features anti-fog coating for steam to disperse for clear and sharp videos and pictures even after you come out of the water.
To take clear underwater videos, simply switch to Aqua Mode setting, and the camera will automatically sets the ideal parameters necessary. On top of that, the W200 also comes with a convenient built-in USB arm to share your adventure with your friends and family.
With Samsung’s Record Pause feature, users can pause briefly during filming and resume from the exact same moment. On completion, footage will be stored in the same file, which makes uploading and sharing extremely convenient. The W200 has two special SmartFilter features – Vignetting for fading the edges of shots and Fish-Eye for an arty, distorted feel.
W200 is now available in Red and Titanium at $299 at all major retail outlets.
