BMW X6 xDrive30d launched in Oz

As the popularity of diesel-powered SUVs swells, BMW has this week launched a new entry model to the X6 range: the X6 xDrive 30d.
Powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel developing 180kW/560Nm, xDrive30d becomes the new price leader for the X6 range, starting at $109,900.
The new model is offered exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling a 0-100km/h time of 7.6 seconds, while also returning a best-in-class fuel consumption figure of 7.4L/100km.
To further improve the car's environmental credentials, X6 xDrive30d is also fitted with a number of BMW EfficientDynamic technologies, which include low rolling resistance tyres and brake energy regeneration.
A comprehensive equipment list includes 19-inch alloy wheels, leather-trimmed sports seats, a sports leather steering wheel and bi-xenon headlamps, as well as a number of items from the BMW ConnectedDrive suite of technologies. These include head-up display, rear view camera with Top View, satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, high-beam assist, electrically-operated tailgate as well as front and rear parking sensors.
Like all X6 models, the xDrive30d is also available optionally with a three-passenger bench-type rear seat, which includes a three-point centre seatbelt, centre armrest and 60:40 split-fold functionality.
Also optionally, a Sports Package offers 20-inch light alloy wheels, a high-gloss shadow line and anthracite roofliner for $5000.
The BMW X6 xDrive30d is available now.
