Peugeot 208 will be launch

The future Peugeot 208 will be inspired by the SR1 concept, marking the beginning of a new design direction for the French brand.
According to the design director at the PSA Peugeot-Citroen Corporation, the brand’s next model will debut in 2012 and it will separate the range of B segment from its history.
Peugeot 208 and every model created after it will be uniform and each model will be properly integrated in the brand and become a part of the family.
In this way, Peugeot will align with the trend started by Volkswagen with Polo and by Opel with Insignia, regarding a common design for all models, adapted to their size.
“The 208 must be able to be sold worldwide in Asia, South America, or wherever, as well as in Europe. It must be easily recognized as being distinctly Peugeot everywhere in the world. You see a little bit of what (the new style) will be in the SR1 concept car. The SR1 represents what we want to do, with an athletic, pure, elegant, and precise design with much allure,” Jean-Pierre Ploue, director of design at Peugeot parent PSA/Peugeot-Citroen SA, told Automotive News Europe in an interview.
The new Peugeot 208 is expected to debut at Geneva Motor Show in March 2012.
