A new year marks a new beginning for many tablet makers after getting kicked around by the Apple iPad in sales all 2011 long. Acer and Lenovo are a couple of manufacturers who will be taking another proverbial 'kick at the cat' (sorry to cat lovers) in 2012 when they build and launch Windows 8 tablets to the market. Seeing as the general consumer markets are saturated by iPads and Android tablets, the word on the street is that Windows 8 tablets and their makers will aim at the business sales model to fuel market share and sales. This is always a win for Microsoft as many businesses are still functioning with Windows Infrastructures. A Windows based tablet would be just the thing to easily plug into an existing Microsoft dominated ecosystem.
With Intel's Clover Trail architecture coming out, and Windows 8 Operating System due in the latter part of 2012, we may see a resurgence in enterprise gadget sales. To add to the talk, Microsoft and Nokia are both rumored to release their own branded slate devices sporting Windows 8 OS.
